Camino De Santiago Via the Portuguese Route
On 14th September 2019, a small group of pilgrims will embark on a 116km pilgrimage, starting from Tui, a beautiful town in Spain, bordering Portugal and ending at Santiago De Compostella. The Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James) is the last leg of the Camino Portugues (The Portuguese way). This stage starts in the beautiful town of Tui, bordering between Spain and Portugal and both countries divided by the Mino River.
From Tui, we will walk through forests, traditional farmlands, small villages, rural towns and not forgetting historic cities. I salute all 18 brave pilgrims who will be undertaking the trip with me.
To prepare for the walk, we have been conducting practice walks and thus far, had covered East Coast Park and as well as Bukit Timah Hill. This weekend, we will be walking Macritchie Reservoir.
